What is Shawkey?
Shawkey™ is more than just a plush shark — he’s a character, a story, and a mission. Created by a father-daughter duo, Shawkey was born out of Emilia’s love for animals and her dream to help protect sharks. Through plushies, videos, and fun adventures, Shawkey teaches kids (and grown-ups!) to love and protect the ocean’s most misunderstood animals.

How does Shawkey help us understand animals that are misunderstood?
We’re working on scripts for weekly episodes where Shawkey and Emilia introduce different shark species, explain why they’re important to the ecosystem, and highlight conservation efforts in a fun, family-friendly way. Our hope is that through Shawkey’s stories, plushies, and content, kids (and adults!) start to see sharks in a new light. Think of it as a very modest, father-daughter, social-media version of the Kratt Brothers.

Is Shawkey a stuffed animal I can buy?
Not yet! The dream is to bring Shawkey to life as a high-end plush, eventually made with recycled and ocean-friendly materials. Right now, we’re in the early stages — building the community, raising awareness, and funding the very first prototypes.

How do purchases help conservation?
Our online merch store (hoodies, tees, accessories, and more) is open now. Every purchase helps fund the Shawkey plush prototypes and allows us to start donating to shark and ocean conservation organizations. As soon as we sign agreements with our partners, we’ll announce them publicly so you can see exactly where the funds are going.

When will the Shawkey plush be available?
We’re aiming to launch the first plush prototypes soon through crowdfunding campaigns. Supporters who join us early will be the first to know when preorders open. You can sign up for our newsletter or follow us on social media to stay updated.

Where do the ideas for Shawkey’s stories come from?
Shawkey’s adventures come from Emilia’s curiosity about animals, her love of rescuing and releasing them back into nature, and our family’s passion for storytelling. Each story blends fun with real science and conservation messages so kids can learn while they laugh.

Who is behind Shawkey?
